How do I print to the Ricoh printer (Windows 10)?

First, you need to have a print code. Ask your administrator or supervisor for the print code you should use. There is one print code for black & white printing, and another for color printing.

- In the Windows 10 search bar (lower left), type 'printer'. You should see a result called 'Printers & Scanners'. Click on it.
- If the printer you want to print on isn't already listed, skip down to the 'Adding a Printer' section below. After you install the printer, come back here and continue on.
- Click on the printer. For this example, the printer is called "UAA Advising Ricoh".
- Select 'Manage'
- From the links on the left, select 'Printing Preferences'
- The 'Printing Preferences' dialogue will open. Select the 'Detailed Settings' tab.
- From 'Menu', select 'Job Setup'
- In the 'User Code' box, enter in your print code.
- Click OK to save and close. You are now all set to print!
- On your keyboard, press the Windows key and 'R' at the same time.
- In the 'Run' box that pops up, type: control printers
- Hit enter. This will open up the Devices and Printers part of Control Panel
- Click 'Add a Printer'
- Select 'The printer I want isn't listed'
- Click the radio button next to 'select a shared printer by name'.
- In the text box type in: \\uaa-backup.uaa.washington.edu\
- This will populate a list of available printers. Select the one you want.
- Now that you have added the printer, go back to the top of this FAQ and follow the instructions to add your print code to the printer driver.
